Okay, so i have absoluetly no idea how to post the blog that i wanted on the book that i wanted to randomly say something about. :( But, i will just blog about how come no one's buying?
Okay, so a few people have. And i know exactly who the person that already sold $100 is (i didn't attend the meeting on Tuesday so i no one informed who had won the 5 bucks, but it's cool, i know who without thinking too much because the person gloated the whole week). Jk. Sort of.
Anyways, hopefully the fundraiser will turn out great because i am really wishing for new books (and a fresh chocolate moca!)

Library Fundraiser!
Congratulations to the NINE students who picked up their fundraising packet! Way To Go! I hope you've been selling like mad - we only have until the 23rd of April to place all orders.
Remember - the top-selling student wins $25! Woohoo!
In addition - I'm currently looking for sponsors so we can have a Friday weekly award, too (I'll let you know how it goes - we'll come up with something!)
Be sure to check in Friday before school to show your order tallies! We'll plot and chart them and award some kind of prize weekly! (perhaps VIA? I know y'all love coffee!)
Happy Monday - and remember - this week - you will check in on THURSDAY morning before school to be eligible for the weekly award! :)

A $25 i-TUNES GIFT CARD!
Yup - that's right!
Each of you should blog at least three books - what does that look like?
One "new comment" about the book - probably a paragraph or two - talking about what you liked, didn't like, what worked, didn't, whether you'd read anything by the author again - or whether you'd even recommend the book!
At least three posts to other people's comments on other books - and of course - blogging back on the three youposted once people make responses! For a good example - check out EMM's and Ms. Ash's discussion on Speak.

New Library Club Meetings!
Okay, so due to the hectic schedule most of us have had, a lot of the meetings have been jumbled up and we havent' gotten anything done. Well, that has to stop. The meetings are now regular, which means that every memeber has to show up whenever they can so we can get things together.
New plans like fieldtrips have been talked about and new ideas for fundraisers have been taken into consideration. But considering our lack of meetings, there's not much that we got going on.
But it's cool.

Live from SXSW in downtown Austin!
Hey Club! Am so excited about the cool stuff going on! I went to a Google release session and guess what? They've created a "build your OWN template" for blogspot! Woohoo! Am looking forward to learning it with you. Right now, am headed over to a session called "what kids with flamethrowers can tell us" - um, well - it sounds good! Will let you know.
Hope you're all enjoying your break and resting up for the big TAKS event next month - and reading a lot of course! I'm in the middle of an awesome SCI-FI by Richard somebody - it's called Altered Carbon - will let you know if I still like it by the end.
Hope y'all don't mind that I've been using your blogspot - and THANK YOU EMM for posting so much! I do think you're going to be the winner of our $25 i-Tunes gift card! YIPPEEE. Will be awarded mid-May with a big ceremony of course.
For you other slackers - I KNOW you're reading - start blogging! Let's have a real book discussion ONLINE. For example - what did you think of House of Scorpion? Nancy Farmer is one of my favorite teen sci-fi artists and I look forward to talking about drugs, the mexico-american border (in the future) and cloning.....let's do it!

I just wanted y'all to know - if you post about the book in the MAIN BODY of the Library Club MHS blog area - KEEP IT CLEAN - and DO NOT tell the ending - or give any crucial plot elements away!
That said - if you "click on a book picture" to blog (or read the blogs already there) - be AWARE - we will be talking about the WHOLE BOOK - so we might give the ending away! :)
So - if you haven't finished the book - do NOT READ THE BLOGS posted when you click ON the book! :)
