Once upon a dark and dreary bones so tired, head so weary, came a call to another place where humans are not the only race and what flies by night does dream by day.
Once upon a nightmare fresh feast on blood, but not on flesh, surrounded in another space The Count with such a pretty face and waht dies by night returns next day.
I love gothic literature! :) Bram Stoker's Dracula - not only a classic, but a sci-fi! Before the genre was even there! I appreciate the whole "story of the Count" but also the statements this book makes about society - it was written when "trains were big" and technology was starting to help people make easier lives for themselves. :) And I love Edgar allen Poe and couldn't resist trying to make goth poem about Dracula....ahem...sorry 'bout that!
Hey EMM - I've got a copy of Dracula here waiting for ya! :) Let's read it together - It's been so long (like a hundred years! lol) I want to read it again - and I figure some of you may have trouble with the "language" - so let's read and blog it at the same time! Anyone else interested in joining EMM and myself w/ Dracula? Woohoo - bring on the blood-sucking undead! :)
I hate vampires but this book kind of change my view's.This book wuz very average it had romance. Out of all the vampire book I ever readed in my lifetime I like this one. I thought about If Edward fought Dracula Edward would totally get creamed. Dracula was the first and he had made his palce in histoery as the greatest vampire in the history of vampire. He can beat any of the Twight characters and the book tale it all about Dracula and another thing Edward would lose to Dracula. Dracula is unstopable he is the ulimated vampire and know one can stop him?
I'm still kind of wondering where Jacob would have fit in back in Dracula's day !! LOL (for those who've read/seen Twilight and New moon). I liked the conversation we had at the last library club meeting (F2F) - anyone remember the cool points and want to post them?
